In a recent scientific research break through by British scientists a tiny compounds that are able to stop sperm swimming have been developed, switching off the sperm’s ability to wiggle and stopping them from fertilising an egg.
A Professor John Howl, of Wolverhampton University said the new findings could revolutionise the contraceptive industry.
The researchers stated that when the chemical compound was added to a healthy sperm, the sperm couldn’t move.
The research was a combine effort of Wolverhampton University and IVF experts at Portugal’s Aveiro University.
The findings are expected to be published soon, with live animal testing to begin in just two to three years.
